Securing the Future of 91Ƭ

91Ƭ has launched the 91Ƭ Shine capital campaign to build two transformational facilities: a new Lower School Building and a Student Commons. These spaces will serve our students and faculty for generations to come by creating inspirational, permanent environments for learning, dining, performing, and gathering together as a community.

We are currently in the early stages of the campaign, inviting members of our community to join us in advancing 91Ƭ’s mission and shaping the future of our campus.

Campaign Co-Chairs

We are grateful for the leadership of our 91Ƭ Shine Campaign Co-Chairs. Dave Ritchie and Kyle Tucker, 91Ƭ Board Members and current 91Ƭ dads.

Dave Ritchie

Board Member & 91Ƭ Dad

As the former owner and operator of the largest locally-owned interior building products distributor in North Carolina, Dave was responsible for setting the vision, executing the strategy, and leading a team of two hundred associates.

Read More About Dave

He was instrumental in driving the company’s strategic growth, operational excellence, and winning culture.

Under Dave’s leadership, the business soared to new heights, supplying many of the largest high-profile commercial and multi-family projects across North Carolina’s skyline. Residentially, the business supplied building materials to nearly 1 out of every 5 houses in its markets, fueled by relationships with national home builders, regional production builders, and local builders and subcontractors. In 2019, Dave successfully negotiated the sale of his company to L&W Supply, a subsidiary of ABC Supply company, the largest building products distributor in the United States. He served as their District Manager for two years, reporting to the Vice President and President of the $3 Billion enterprise.

Currently, Dave is involved in various business partnerships while actively engaged in the life of his family, his church, worthwhile community causes, and 91Ƭ.

Dave is a Raleigh native, and a graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and North Carolina State University.

Dave is married to Laurin, and they have two children at 91Ƭ: Allen (‘30) and Joy (’32). Their family attends Bayleaf Baptist Church.

Past Capital Projects

While we are always looking to the future, 91Ƭ is also proud of our past capital projects that have strengthened our campus and community.

TRINITY RISE – This highly successful campaign resulted in our Upper School Academic building. Students and faculty moved into the 2 story, 27,00 sq. ft. building on August 21, 2023. Inside, students enjoy classrooms designed to facilitate Socratic dialogue, four science labs, state of the art technology, and collaboration space for our faculty.
ATRIUM – completed in 2015, this 3,100 sf space adjacent to Founders Hall is flexible enough to be used for as a daily lunchroom, meeting space, special event space (e.g., Grandparents Prayer Breakfast, Senior Prayer Luncheon, Mother’s Day Tea, etc.). This open-air convertible space with the use of “garage-style” doors, and a gas log stone fireplace makes it enjoyable year-round.
FOUNDERS HALL Brick Wrap – adding brick to the existing structure and renaming the space for 91Ƭ’s founders, transformed this into a cornerstone for our overall Master Plan, adding permanence to 91Ƭ’s campus. **Brick in the foundation (story to come)
TARMAC – The 91Ƭ of Raleigh Multi-Activities Center was initially a metal structure with a beautiful hardwood basketball court, mezzanine, and large stage for hosting sporting events, theatre productions, concerts, and any 91Ƭ-wide event. Completed in 2010, this 14,000 sf facility is a hub of daily activity with PE, theatre practice, and athletic contests.
